Houghton Semillon (Sauternes style) 1983.
Damp mushroom aromas. Palate varietal & still fresh, but sweetness is minimal. A curio. 85 pts
Morris Old Premium Liqueur Muscat NV.
Cola brown. Espresso, raisins, dark chocolate, cinnamon, allspice. Luscious, rich, hedonistic. You can smell it from across the room and the flavours linger for minutes. 95 pts
Taltarni Three Monks Fumé Blanc 2006.
Reminiscent of Semillon of similar age. Intense lemony notes present but will continue to develop. 90 pts
Banrock Station Pinot Grigio 2009.
Almond shells, sulfur, pear, nutmeal. Nuttiness is nice but not a lot to offer past that. 87 pts
Wine By Brad Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2009.
Lemongrass, guava, grass, groove. Expressive nose, controlled palate. Um, is there any more? 92 pts
Coriole Chenin Blanc 2009.
Honeydew, pear, apple. Waxy, dry, phenolics and heat on finish. Some more acidity would help. 88 pts

Flowers, talc, with an overbearing stonefruit, peach nectar character, distracting the palate. Flabby. 87 pts
Truffle Hill Cane-Cut Riesling 2008.
Apricot, tinned mandarin, lemon curd. Acidity a little lacking, but flavours are good. 89 pts
Vasse Felix Heytesbury Chardonnay 2008.
Rush of school fête- Peanut Brittle & hokey pokey. Lingers long and focused with grapefruit flavours. 96 pts
Tinpot Hut Syrah 2007.
Hawkes Bay. Blueberries, white pepper, liquorice, grilled meat. Gentle tannins. Toned down with clear characters. 91 pts
Ayala Zero Dosage NV.
Honey, oyster shells, baked apple. Very long, dry, complex finish. Not for everyone. 91 pts
Oakridge Over The Shoulder Pinot Noir 2008.
Cherry pip, raspberry and earth. Varietally sound, light. Decent value for under $20. 88 points
Yering Station Pinot Noir 2008. Bright, red fruits, spice. Very supple and delightful. 92 pts
Houghton Wisdom Riesling 2009. Lime juice, pebbles, orange rind. Lime pith palate. Length, food friendly. All boxes are ticked. 93 pts
Seppeltsfield Clara Blanca Amontillado. Tangelo rind, beer nuts, citrus pith. Bright, zingy style. Alc. a tad high. World Class. 93 pts
Domaine A Stoney Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2004.
Ribena, leaf, milk choc. Powerful, deep nose but a med. bodied palate with gentle, even tannins. 94 pts
