Emilio Moro ‘Finca Resalso’ 2008
February 8, 2012
I don’t now much about Ribera Del Duero, except that you generally have to pay for what you get. This bottle was pretty cheap, but I thought I’d give it a go. It’s 100% Tempranillo.
Blood and iron. There’s some notes of dried meat and crusty bread (yeast and oak derived) as well which sets the scene- it’s a food wine through and through. A bit of blackberry fruit, but it’s mostly a savoury affair. Likeable, but I’m glad I didn’t pay too much for it. Yes, in the right context.
Average.
